So as a christian, is it really a need for you to read the bible? Can a person be saved without reading the bible?

my thoughts:

First, Salvation is a Gift from God and according to the Christian Bible, you will be saved tru your faith in God.
And When you say Christian it means Follower of Christ, so if want to follow Christ you should know what Christ is and what Christ want, right? so where man ka makahibalo about Christ? - In the Bible.

So for Christians Bible is needed

2nd, we will be saved tru our Faith in God, this means true Faith - And kung mu ingun ka ug Tinuod nga pagtuo dapat nakahibalo ka kinsa ug unsa imu Gituhuan kay if mu ingun ka nga nituo ka nya wa ka kaila sa imu gituohan - dili na tinuod nga pagtuo. Wala sa Bibliya gisuwat directly ang steps unsay buhaton para maluwas kundi Naa sa Bibliya ang information para makaila ka ni Kristo, para makahibalo ka unsa siya, unsa iyang gusto para natu. all these things are related. what is really talked about here is the bible. all the arguments wether you don't believe in God or there is a god but he is wrong, etc, revolves around the bible. To defend your stand, you iether have to qualify the bible or disqualify the bible. Am I not welcome to post here because I have different views with you? Are muslims not also welcome here because this is a christian thread?
