Default Hardware Problem or Software? Toshiba Portege M900

guys! murag gi saput nako sa akong portege m900...

twice na nahitabo nga mo kalit lang (and random) nga dili mo charge or murag dili nya ma detect ang AC adapter...

    overview sa akong setup:
    - kani nga laptop nako halos stay-put ra jud ni dili nako dala-dalahon nara sa desk so naka tangag ra ang AC adapter and power cord sa laptop og sa outlet but i turn off the extension wire switch kung full na ang battery (meaning, i always do recharge/discharge cycles - i ran on battery and charge it when it gets low).
    - given that, halos walay movements jud sa parts so walay physical damages (at least nga visible to the naked eye) on the whole of the power adapter assembly and the power cord and also on the power port of the laptop itself...

    things that i've done...

1st incident... (about 3 weeks ago)
    - na lowbat so akong gi on ang extension wire switch bat it was not charging... so i disconnect all the physical connections of the charge from the outlet and the laptop then reconnected... wla gihapon na detect... akong gi tester ang power cord og adapter, ok man naa may stable power output (19v DC)... akong gi reconnect, wah gihapon... akong gi tanggal ang CD sa tray and to my surprise ni charge na siya! akong gi paslak balik ang CD, nawala na pud ang charging... so akong nalang jud usa gi tangtang unya nag charge na siya... i was thinking it was just a system glitch of windows power options thing...

2nd incident... (kagabii - and it was working fine since the 1st incident)
    - same setup as before, naka tanggag ra tanan, wah jud movements since the last time it was working... na low bat, akong gi on ang extension switch, wala ni charge og wala na detect... huwat kog 5 minutes, wah jud na detect... akong gi open ang CDROM kay wala may CD sa sulod unya akong gi sira balik, wala gihapon... so wala na akong swerte as before!

    - so i restarted to see it that will fix it... wala gihapon... shutdown ko... disconnected all peripherals and removed battery then i plugged in just the AC adapter... yatap! d ma detect ang it won't turn on... ako nsad gi tester ang AC adapter, naa may power... double checked the port for the AC sa laptop, wla jud koy makita nga physical damage (not unless sa solder connection na jud niya sa motherboard or something like that).... frustrated and with the laptop still not pwoering up, akong gi balik ang battery, disconnected and reconnected the AC adapter (hardware level charging) but wah gihapon ma detect ang AC... nasipuk akong ulo, ako sa gipa sagdan wala nako gipang tangtang ang connection except i turned off the extension wire switch... unya after a few minutes, akong gi balikan, akong gi on ang extension wire switch, na detect na ang AC and it's charging, akong gi ON ni ON na pud siya... take note, wala koy gi buhat in between...

so, murag gi ungo akong laptop or what?

either it is a loose dc connector sa tip sa adapter or ang motherboard dc port
unless naa kay extra na ac adapter and if you have tested it with a different adapter and same issue dyapon then i would conclude it has something to do with the motherboard dc port
