Mophop virus??? in pldt ???

2 weeks ago i got intermittent disconnection from pldt it could be 1 min for every 30 min or it could be as long as 3 hours to 5 hours and sometime i got no disconection at all for the whole day since then i keep on ringing 171 everytime i got more 10 minutes of no internet connection in fairness they assisted me well from isolating one pc to unplug the modem from the router and so on... but its gett ing awkward and irksome from time to time again same drill check wires, isolate..etc ipconfig release/renew .. blah blah well at least im learning something from 171 free of charge but it's boring now i think i mastered it already.

im no suker and i want my monthly payments worth. Yesterday seems they are finally ready to send a tech and i got 2 phone call one from a tech who wants to be certain everything was checked before coming , he pointed out to watch for the dsl light if its still on steady from their modem if i got disconnected heheh i told him why 171 didn't bother to tell me that and save us all the time, now im monitoring it. And the second one is weird seems they are tech guys from a station they told me they are monitoring cause there is a virus called "mop hop" ?choking their network and they have trace it near mactan airport and that it's a foreigner they have already on the process of normalizing traffic again. well can u believe that a virus?? well i think they are shitting me i think it's either the modem is busted a 14 month zycel p600 or something else...... for the whole 14 months of subcription these is the first time i got a problem and its over 2 weeks now...

naka experienced pud me ani nga problm lately mawala lang ang connection ug kalit. nag tuo lang me ang router namo ang gubaon!!! nya sometimes mo tan.aw ko sa ping dili mo appear bisan naapay internet connection... gi weirdohan btaw me ky we tot naara sa amo unit ang problem!!! atot maning pldt oi....

naka experience na me ana..try config ur zyxel p600..from bridging to router..but dli na u pwede gamit lain router..

Virus? basin ang tech personnel na ig-an ug virus, hehehe. Nakasuway sad ko anang sige putol, unya sige tawag pldt, diri nalang nako gi configure sa linux router kay ni surrender na ang taga pldt. Karon ok pa sa alright kay Linux na gud

finally after 2 weeks and half a tech came and saw my predicament, he manage to fix it by replacing daw a "network card in the cabinet". And for 2 days i enjoyed no disconnection until today wahhh.


because thrice i have to power on off the modem just to have my connection back ,though my ping are ok on sites i have tested almost no time out?? BUt base upon observation these are the usual starting symtom before an all out intermittent disconnection and time outs on days to come.. Just like before you have to turn of/then on the modem when you got disconnected after seconds or minute youre online again then a day or two it wont be a usual one min disconection but a two or 5 min or 5 hours and then you will see the vicious cycle of time outs on cmd ping.

i was thinking of changing my dynamic ip to a static ip , would it result for a faster pldt reposnse time in diagnosting a problem? it took them more than 2 week to send a tech and replace a "network card in their cabinet".

unsa man ni modem ni na ni cya? or sa port?? or?? tech told me 2 days ago they had already replace a network card in ipdsalm cabinet for 2 days back to normal na ko. Bu oday its back again
wah na ko used sa ilaha service at 4500 a month for almost 3 week na.
