It is like a self-proclaimed event by our community today, which speaks about and reminisces of the moments that usually escape our memory. Remember the bisaya saying, “Ang gahom walay kalimot, ang kalimot walay gahom.” Time is limited for us here and thus, unwise to spend it unconsciously and inefficiently. I’ve invited some of my folks to answer few questions which are relevant to the event. The questions were:
1) What is the most important thing that you forgot to do or to say for the past two weeks or more which affected your current disposition today?
2) What advice can you share to the netizens to avoid forgetfulness?
Now, let us here what they have to say!
1) The most important thing that i forgot to do was to be grateful for things in my life. Being grateful shifts my focus to everything I have now and it changes my mood to a more positive one. It’s a self reminder of the abundance that God has provided for me.
2) To make lists and prioritise your important tasks etc. Keep a diary or meditation is a good exercise for the brain; Train your brain to focus.

1) Sometimes I forget to say thank you. Thank you for breath, for water, for health, for life. I end the day forgetting to say Thank You for another day.

1) I usually forget to take good care of my HEALTH ....I am always reminded of this when I’m sick at home or standing at a funeral. Appreciating good health should be done daily and not only when we feel pain or illness. Health is wealth. I should remind myself of this more often.
2) KEEP YOUR BRAIN ACTIVE, play games that depend on remembering. EAT HEALTHY, EXERCISE and GET ENOUGH SLEEP.

1) What I forgot to do is to spend valuable time to hone my craft. I had a habit of procrastination which delays some project that I eagerly wanted to pursue. Instead of focusing one thing at a time, I allowed myself to be indulged into different activities without mastering what I am good at. I overlooked on this matter a lot of times, however through times of reflection and self- evaluation, I was able to concentrate my abilities to something greater which resulted to my present business on health and wellness.
2) Doing some research and reading new updates about our society could possibly gain their awareness. On the other hand, talking about self- awareness this time... We all have high capacity for this but is left inactivated. To achieve self-awareness we can start on some observation exercises. Now here, we might be able to see some negativity but we have to remind ourselves to be proactive and not reactive on some situation. Another thing is through meditation, and yes I do meditate and practice yoga. It really helps me a lot to to be present at the moment and cultivate each day.
To avoid being forgetful, you can start the habit of taking notes, setting a daily reminder of the things you need to accomplish. To write down your key plans and priorities.
