      Gulab Jamun, made of dough consisting mainly of milk solids, rolled into a ball together with some flour and then deep fried. It is then put into a sugar syrup flavored with cardamom seeds, rose water and saffron

      Rasgulla, made from ball shaped dumplings of chhena (an Indian cottage cheese) and semolina dough, cooked in light sugar syrup. This is done until the dumpling gets soaked by the syrup. Saffron and rose water gives flavor to the sugar syrup.

      Making rangoli coloring is an integral part of the celebration not just for kids but for the family too, in India this is done at entrance of homes. For the kids, they are given rangoli patterns to color.

      Rangoli also known as muggu or kolam is an Indian Folk Art in which patterns are created on the floor in courtyards or living rooms, using materials such as dry flour, colored rice, flower petals or colored sand. This is meant to be sacred welcoming areas for the Hindu deities
