Miss Cebu 2014 Candidates Part 1

12 lovely ladies were presented to the media last October 23, 2013 at the Cebu City Marriott Hotel which was attended by Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama. According to the Mayor, many are called but few are chosen and all of these girls are vying for one crown but only one will be hailed as Miss Cebu 2014 come January 15, 2014. The grand coronation night will be one of the highlights of the Sinulog Festival Celebration which will be held at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of Waterfront Cebu City Hotel.

Get to know the Candidates

#1. Rhodora Marie "Rhodz" Aloyon, 22, 5'3", is a BS Nursing Graduate of Cebu Technological University and is currently a staff nurse at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.

She wants to showcase the Cebuana's fighting spirit and wants to help people because of the joy that it gives her and she wants to give joy to the people. During her spare time she plays the piano and guitar.

She admits that she is not that confident but she is working on her self-esteem, by visualizing every night that she already has the crown and this helps build her confidence.

Pageants joined:
Miss Cebu is her first pageant.

#2. Crystal "Star" Aberasturi, 21, 5'4", is a Medical Technology Graduate of Cebu Doctor's University.

She started joining pageants while she was in kindergarten. On helping, she wants to do what can be done to make other people happy. She knows a little ballet, reads novels and loves dogs. She is the older sister to the reigning Miss Mandaue, Steffi Rose Aberasturi.

She wants to focus on what makes her different from others.

Pageants joined:
- Miss CVIRAA, Miss PAGCOR, Miss CESAFI, and Sinulog Festival Queen.

Miss Mandaue 2011 first runner-up, she was later on acknowledged as Miss Mandaue 2011 when the original Miss Mandaue 2011 gave up the crown in exchange for an overseas job offer.

#3. Hannah Marie Gore, 20, 5'4", is a BS Nursing Graduate of Cebu Normal University and is a Registered Nurse.

She is the sister of Rosemary Gore, Miss Cebu 2011 Third Runner-up (who is now enlisted with the US Navy). The intent in helping and the sincerity that goes with it is what matters because at the end of the day, it is how we see ourselves on how we have been able to help our fellowmen.

She loves animals, loves dogs, reading books, music, fashion, traveling, and she is a leftie (left-handed).

#4. Ayn Ilya Ingking, 21, 5'4", is a BS Psychology Graduate from the University of San Carlos and is also a Juris Doctor.

For Ayn, the very heart of serving is compassion, no matter what other people say - just do it. She has been a Gawad Kalinga volunteer for three (3) years and has joined the efforts in helping distribute relief goods in Bohol.

#5. Margret Tracy Manalop, 21, 5'4", is a BS Nursing student of the University of Cebu-Banilad.

She stopped going to college to work and be able to send her sister to school. She will soon be seeing the fruits of her labor this coming March when her sister graduates, then she will go back to school. Her favorite color is dark blue and she loves to travel.

#6. Kirstie Gayle Barbas, 20, 5'5", is a BS Nursing Graduate of Cebu Doctor's University and is a Registered Nurse.

A beauty pageant should personify women who are not just beautiful but have the heart to inspire people, to grow & mature as a person and to serve as an inspiration to others.

She wants to hone her strengths be more confident in speaking in public. She loves purple, fashion, traveling, and she loves dogs. She used to do piano and dancing.
