Select members of the media and other distinguished guests got a peek of what Cebuanos can expect from the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale Cebu 2019 during the VIP launch on Thursday.

On hand to cut the ceremonial ribbon were Cebu City Mayor, Edgardo Labella, the founder of the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale, Jacqueline Ng and Gawad Kalinga representative, Toby Florendo.
The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale Cebu 2019 is bringing over a million books from multiple genres. The best part is these can be purchased at discounts that go as high as 90% off! The sale is open 24 hours a day all through its 11-day run in Cebu. This means book lovers can take as much as time as they need to peruse through the extensive selection of titles that the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale Cebu 2019 features.
This year though, the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale Cebu 2019 will be offering more of what organizers call as “Magical Books,” which feature augmented reality technology that can help toddlers and preschoolers interact, play and learn from different books that have this particular innovation.
“Big Bad Wolf Books is not just a book sale. It is an organization that advocates reading and English literacy. Our mission is to change the world one book at a time. Filipinos are avid readers, they love books, they understand the value and power of books. However, there’s a lot of people out there who don’t have access to books due to pricing. For someone who’s never had a book, that could be the one thing that could change his life and it is our role to provide access to affordable books. A book could inspire and empower readers with knowledge,” said Ng.
Big Bad Wolf Books debuted in Manila in February of 2018. It also made stops in Cebu and Davao. It made its return to the country last February, with a stop in Manila before making its way to Pampanga last month.
