
Since it was established in 1998, it has been regarded as Cebu’s premier hotel. The hotel boasts over 561 rooms, 9 function rooms, and two grand ballrooms. It boasts up to 4,000 venue capacity. It also has a business center with two private boardrooms.
Over the years, the hotel has held many large events such as conferences, concerts, trade exhibits, and big private functions.Not surprisingly, the hotel was one of the five recipients of the 1st MICE Venue Standard Award, Hotel Category Setting. This award was presented during the ASEAN Tourism Forum. This forum was held in Chiang Mai, Thailand last January 26.
General Manager Anders Hallden attributes the hotel’s success to all Waterfront employees. “The Waterfront family takes so much pride in providing true Filipino hospitality,” he said. The staff goes over and beyond in satisfying their guests’ expectations.
Following the hotel’s 20th anniversary, they are looking forward to the development of their new meeting space. Room renovations to achieve higher levels of excellence are in the pipeline. The hotel will also hold the much-anticipated Waterfront Hotel IRON Chef. This will be the hotel’s Fourth of July celebration to commemorate Filipino-American Friendship Day. Waterfront’s Wedding Fair will also be held later in the year. A glossy coffee table book will also be released to pay tribute to the hotel’s 20th anniversary.
