It is owned and operated by Rustan's Supercenters, a member of the Rustan Group of Companies, who also runs the Rustan's chain of supermarkets. Rustan's was the first Manila retailer to operate in Cebu in 1985 and has always believed in the Cebu market, thus, the entry of the first Shopwise branch outside of the National Capital Region and the second one only outside Metro Manila.

Buying fresh goods in Shopwise is like shopping in a clean, open-air market. Having pioneered the modern wet market concept inside the supermarket, Shopwise brings shoppers a wide variety of fresh produce, meat and seafood all priced affordably and with the Shopwise assurance of quality that its holding company Rustan's has always been known for.
Aside from fresh produce, groceries, and an extensive range of merchandise, Shopwise introduces new meal solutions and food concepts for customers to indulge in at the designated dining areas inside the hypermarket. At the Salad Medley Station, customers can choose from an assortment of fresh-cut-fruits that are stored neatly in clear-glass, hygienic containers. Asian-inspired, fast casual dining options are also available at the tempting Mongolian Stir-Fry-a first inside a supermarket offering a full meal solution that's affordable, filling and delicious. The Soda Fountain, a charming 50's style diner serves up delectable burgers, fries, and hotdogs.
