Offering a wider assortment of LEGO collections and the full Lego Play Experience with its own window dress up, dioramas and 3D figures, the first LEGO Corner in Cebu was launched at the 3rd floor, Rustan’s, Ayala Center Cebu.
The “Toy of the Century” found a new home in Cebu. Rustan’s, in partnership with LAJ Marketing Philippines, Inc., the exclusive distributor of LEGO in the country, unveiled its LEGO Corner on Saturday, May 21 at the 3rd Level of Rustan’s Cebu.
Exciting activities were in store on the opening day. A special LEGO building competition for kids 4-6, 7-10 and 11-14 years old was held with registration onsite from 10:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. and the competition proper from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. Children between 4-6 years old were accompanied by either a parent or guardian.
The Nexo Knights Building Experience activity where participants get a power shield card to bring home was also launched on the same day from 1 p.m. onwards and will run daily until May 31.
Complete with a life-sized LEGO statue, miniature town, collectibles and pieces, and a variety of LEGO sets, the LEGO corner will be the ultimate dream destination for the young and the young at heart. In the months ahead, LEGO enthusiasts can expect new releases and the re-launch of popular play themes.
The first LEGO brick prototype was developed by Ole Kirk Christiansen in 1949, and perfected over the years to become the basis of the entire LEGO game and building system of today, delighting generations of children for the past 50 years. Its simple form and interlocking principle offer kids and LEGO enthusiasts unlimited building possibilities to explore, experience and express a world without limits. Just before the turn of the millennium, LEGO was declared “Toy of the Century” in 2000 by both Fortune Magazine and the British Association of Toy Retailers.
The LEGO Corner is located at the 3rd Level of Rustan’s Cebu, Ayala Center Cebu, Cardinal Rosales Avenue, Cebu Business Park.
