• Live Your Passion at Mandani Bay

Mandani Bay is a mixed-use waterfront project transforming Cebu into a world-class lifestyle destination.

Mandani Bay is aptly named, as “Mandani” is the old name of Mandaue, which is fit for use for the project, because it links Mandaue’s heritage with its bright future. “Bay” highlights the waterfront nature of the project, said Mr. Robert Wong, Executive Director of Hongkong Land.

Hongkong Land and Taft Properties jointly announced their premium mixed-use joint-venture project in Mandaue City. Hongkong Taft Land (HT Land), the joint-venture company formed by Hongkong Land and Taft Property, will develop the project, a 20-hectare property occupying a waterfront, will be done in eight phases and is anticipated to take 10 or more years to complete. The site is a prominent location between Mactan Island and Cebu Business Park.

      Proposed Marina

Hongkong Land and Taft Properties intend to transform this part of Mandaue into a modern, yet culturally sensitive lifestyle destination. Mandani Bay will primarily be residential and will also comprise retail and office components that will come together to form a mixed-use urban community. Hongkong Land has strong confidence in the future of Cebu and the Philippines and they believe that this project will contribute positively to the city, Wong added.

Mr. Jack Gaisano, Chairman of Taft Properties, said, “The key attractions of this master-planned project are its unique design features, the site’s strategic location and its extensive water frontage. The project will also be built around several distinctive characteristics aimed at creating an attractive community in line with international standards.”

Mandani Bay will change Cebu’s skyline and Mandaue’s landscape. According to Theodore Gilbert Ang, HT Land’s Project Director for Mandani Bay, the project will have 25 towers with 18,000 residential units for the mid-to-high market segment.

Phase 1 will start by January 2016 with an estimated cost of P4.5 billion. This includes the temporary retail spaces, the project’s showroom, temporary marina, a park, and the first two towers on a 1.1-hectare property. The two towers will be completed in 42 months while the facilities are set to be completed next year.

Consultants are brought in to ensure that all aspects of the project are looked at, from environmental sustainability to the traffic situation. Parsons Brickenhoff is commissioned to develop a traffic plan for the area based on its assessment of the traffic situation.

Mandani Bay will redefine Mandaue as a world-class lifestyle destination and it will change the way people will live.
