1. Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen
the godmother of all classic rock bands and the grandfather of all prototype classic rock ballads. nevermind if freddie mercury was gay and he died of AIDS. Queen kicks more balls than any macho rock outfit at any given day. kaning kantaha can be used as a perfect gauge the level of "cockiness" a song can contain(Led Zepellin's Stairway To Heaven is 9 while anything by Air Supply is below 3).

2. Whole Lotta Love by Led Zeppelin
"Way, way down inside/Im gonna give you my love/Im gonna give you every inch of my love". The last line seems quite intriguing and suspicious since, as we all know, the British uses the metric system.

3. Ziggy Stardust by David Bowie
No matter how good a band can cover or do their own version of this song only David Bowie can be Ziggy Stardust.

4. Anything from The Who's Tommy
The template of all rock operas to come. If Green Day's American Idiot is a pillbox, this album is an A-Bomb.

5. White Light/White Heat by The Velvet Underground
You cannot be one of the most revered rock n' roll outfit if you don't write songs about drugs.

6. War Pigs by Black Sabbath
The opening chord resonates a soundtrack to your impending doom. Nevermind if the wordplay on this track is - for the lack of a better term - uninspired.

7. Rock n' Roll by Led Zeppelin
It's no twist of fate that one of the greatest Rock n roll song from a Rock n roll band about Rock n roll is also called Rock n' roll. Word.

8. Don't Stop Believing by Journey
Really, don't.

9. You Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC
If only all Aussie bands play like them, rock n' roll would be a lot ballsier and most probably there would be less Darkness, pun intended.

10. Interstellar Overdrive by Pink Floyd
Listen to the arrangements on this one. Piper at the Gates of Dawn is one of the band's underrated records(and probably one of the most underrated rock n roll records in history as well) yet this does not mean the album is less perfect.

i was gonna put thunderstruck by AC/DC and then i realized that song was released during the 90's. forgot to add Back in Black too.

i like the riffs on those two songs the most and Back in Black was one of the drum intros i studied (or at least tried to pull off)

Its weird, i really don't have any interest in rock bands these days. To me those punk/rock/pop all sound alike and it gets old easily. there's no creativity imo

so i listen to Led Zep, The who, Janis Joplin... the only "new" bands i listen to are TOOL and APC. One classic rock band you will never catch me listening is The Scorpions lol

^^^hahaha! The Scorps sounded good when Ulrich Roth was still with them..but when he left, the band's sound became more commercial....Nahimo nun ug hair metal!

I like their 1st album, Lonesome Crow! psychedelic pa kau...hehehe!
