im currently using an evga 8800gt superclocked. im not happy with it because it idles quite hot in my case. 60-65C at 29% and 50-55C at 45% fan speed also i hate the fact that its cooling mechanism doesnt really vent the hot air out of my case. i am limited by my choice in vid cards because my pc case is quite small and aftermarket coolers are out of the question. i was doing some research and discovered that there was an 8800gts that looked exaclty like the older ones but this model has more shader processors (same as the 8800gt)

benchmarks show it does identical to the 8800gt in lower res but better at higher res because of the more memory i think. im considering this card because i know for a fact that it fits my case (other people have the same config, well not exactly, they have the older gts but since its the same dimensions im sure it'l fit). i can avail of evga's step up program and just pay for the price difference of the new card im getting. i really would have wanted to get the 8800gts 512mb but its just too big. the card im considering (8800gts 640mb) uses the older g80core instead of the newer g92, the only reason im thinking of getting it is that it has a dual slot cooler and i know itl fit my case. what do you guys think? should i go for it or not? i mean its not exactly an upgrade because its an older technology. is it worth the temp differences i MAY get? i dont know exactly how the temps will be but im hoping itl run cooler with the bigger fan and better cooling solution. im using a shuttle sff xpc sn27p2 by the way
