porco rosso <== coolest pig. superboink with mad dogfighting skills.
whisper of the heart <== hear "country road" in japanese! a conventional high school love story.
the cat returns <== watch whisper of the heart then watch this.
i can hear the sea <== for those in need of a normal love story. minus the cheesiness.
laputa: castle in the sky <== for dawson's creek fans. hear Mark Hamill, Anna Paquin and Andy Dick.
kiki's delivery service <== still watching.
My Neighbor Totoro <== childlike lightheartedness galore.
Pom Poko <== transformer tanukis.
graveyard of the fireflies <== prepare to cry.
only yesterday <== a regular drama movie in anime form.

Some of those mentioned above are famous.. Studio Ghibli is quite popular with their heartwarming, supernatural movies. Spirited Away, Mononoke Hime, Kiki's Delivery Service, and a couple more of their movies are quite famous. Nevertheless, nice gyud ghapon ang uban nla bisag dli pareho ka famous sa uban..

Asatte no Hoku (A kid wanting to grow up, a lady desiring to start all over and a wish that changed their lives forever.)
Zettai Shounen (well, murag gipasalida naman ni sa Qtv xD. I think it's a nice series, though it;s not that popular. Well, it's about a boy, a weird floating UFO-like thingy, a veeeeerrrryyy old cat, and a little boy in the forest that bears the resemblance of the protagonist..)
El Cazador de la Bruja (action, girls with guns, sorry if my discription is a bit vague.. wa ko kahuman nai xD)
Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge (comedy, bishounen, gothic girl.lol)
Le Portrait de Petit Cossette (2 ep ova. It's about a girl in a painting and a boy hearing its call.)
Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi (it's as crazy and weird as FLCL or Furi Kuri, i guess XD)
Genshiken (about otakus and stuff they do and feel)
Red Garden (4 girls forgetting what happened the night before, only to find out that they already died)
Pet shop of Horrors (an OVA with 4 stories. It's quite short. If you compile the 4, mura xa movie. it's about a mysterious pet shop that sells queer creatures for pets. And these pets are usually connected to the death of their new owners..)
Shion no Ou (A girl whose tragic death of her parents caused her to cease from talking. As she practices to get better in Shogi, japanese chess, she also tries to discover who her parents murderer is)

uhm, maybe some of these are sikat for you or nakadungog naka.. But they really don't have Naruto's or haruhi Suzumiya's spotlight. Nevertheless, these series are good. ^^

oh, wait..wa sad ko kbaw unsa genre imo nahan.. so ni try lng ko suggest. ^^
