You must be using a non-admin account which doesn't have burn rights... Get nero burn rights and enable burn permissions for your account...

be certain on the error messages you've got. burn rights are only available on NT based systems. Natively, if you are in an Admin account there's no need for burn rights. Check your user rights in the User Account in the Control Panel if using XP. Alternatively, type LUSRMGR.MSC in the run command, you need an administrator's privileges to do this. Free CD's that comes from the device you purchased are subject to EULA. Registration is usually optional, but software upgrades to are subject to extra charge depending on the software vendor's license agreement.

FYI: You can see in the label that it is bundled with the writer, right? meaning you can only use your nero with the writer bundled with your Nero.

You can ask the store/seller that your nero won't work with your writer but maybe you can upgrade it in the internet. Naa ko ana for Samsung SH-R522.

naa man siguro ni cya burn rights (for NT) kay naka-install gud siya in the first place...he / she could have a Power User permission at least...possible pud ni nga dunay conflict ang Nero 5 ug 6 (eventhough gi-uninstall na ang version 5)...duna man siguro toy "clean nero installation" nga utility sa nero nga website, i-clean usa ang previous installation sa imng previous version sa nero before ka mag-install sa new version........and...if Windows XP SP2 imng OS, naa ni siya mga incompatibility issues sa Nero 6 which can be fixed by downloading updates from the nero website..but, you need to have a licensed copy of Nero...

I'm using dual boot XP and windows 98. I already tried removing Nero 5 using the Add/Remove files in Control Panels then after removing the Nero 5 i install the Nero 6 and tried it, the CD did install perfectly but when i tried to use it and burn it won't burn but instead got a blank error message. So i tried to install the Nero 5 again to see if it runs, it did run but the Nero did not detect the CD instead it would burn using the .nrg files or the images files. I also tried installing both the Nero 5 and then the Nero 6 on the Windows XP but i did also got the same error message as what to the Windows 98. Anyways i'm going to try to go to their website and tried all your suggestion.
