    Default Transporting a PC


    Guys,

    Which one of you has tried bringing a PC from one city to another via plane? Unsay sakto pamaagi ani, handcarry or check-in? My case has an accompanying handcarry strap so pwede ra siya murag carry bag when i put it on. Also, what steps should I take so that the unit will not be damaged in transit?

    gicheckin man ang PC nako sa una.. ok raman, pahibaw-e lang daan ang naa sa terminal then butangi ug lock imong chasis para dili makawatan..

    I took the parts of my old PC from Cebu -> Manila -> Tokyo, Japan -> Minneapolis, USA. I'd recommend disassembling your entire rig and reassemble it when you get to your destination. Some parts are more sensitive than others. If you have the original manufacturer's packaging, use those. Use bubble wrap on parts that are more sensitive to force and/or vibration such as hard disks. Use anti-static packaging on electronics such as the RAM and motherboard.

    Is the buble wrap also anti static? there are a lot of those from national b' store.

    depende kung ari lang malapas sa kabug aton naa nay bayad na.

    when transporting, be careful of the CPU heatsink.. especially the heavy copper ones. It's better if you remove it from the case. Mine detached while in transit and damaged the videocard and the motherboard.

    ah ok. akala ko travel for states.. yeah you have to hand carry it. due to important files.... espicialy.. movies hehehe you know what mean.
