Default after installing the new writter the computer dosent detect the optical devices

after installing the new writter the computer dosent detect the optical devices anymore, why?

so far i'm tinkering with the BIOS and the IDE cables..

hapit wala na andar.. lolx.. at least karon na ON pa ang computer... pero wala ma detect ang mga optical devices.. even ang hardware manager..

question: ang mother board nako naay 3 ka slot sa IDE, 1 for floppy, 1 for primary, and the other is for secondary.. diba ang iyang ribbon kay naa man pud na 2 ka connectors.. one for master and the other is slave.. now my question is asa man isaksak nako para sa akong opitacal devices(one is a cd writter, and the other is a dvd writter).. ang current ako gi connect ron kay ang floppy as is, ang primary IDE, master is connected to hard drive. secondary IDE, master at dvd writter, slave at cd writter.. wala lagi.. and i'm getting )

    thanks

ok man imong connections sa cables to the motherboard. try set jumper of dvd writer and cd writer to CS (cable select). or set jumper to master for dvd writer and slave for cd writer. naa na sa luyo sa optical drives ma set ang jumper.

@abloyboat: putting a ata33 on her optical drives will really decrease its performance....

on 1 ide channel there should be only 1 master and 1 slave

bisan pa pinaka kusog nga IDE cable sa tibuok kalibutan i-connect nimo sa CDROM/CDWriter, ATA33 ra gihapon maximum ana. ask mga tindahan too for 2nd opinion. nakakita naka ug CDROM/CDWriter nga inig boot makita nimo nga more than ATA33 ang setting? so far wala pako kita.
