Thread: CF ERROR!

    Default CF ERROR!

Help! My CF got corrupted. It gives a CF ERROR on my 350D and Windows XP can't see it.

I'm trying to recover the photos using PC Inspector Smart Recovery but after 1 and 1/2 days, it's still at 2% and has not found a single file. I feel that this is taking forever.

When I started PC Inspector, it says that it has to use intensive mode 'coz the disk is so damaged. I supposed that made the recovery so slow, but should it be this slow?

Please tell me about your experiences with .CR2 photo format recovery from a CF. Mine is a Ridata 2GB Supreme Series.

    PLEASE HELP.

What software do you have? I have tried recovering the files in it using PC Inspector Smart Recovery to no avail.

I even brought my CF to abortretryfail but he was also using the same software as mine. Takes a long long time to read all the sectors. I left my computer running the software for two days but it was only able to read 2% with 0 files found. I canceled it for fear that it would waste a week's worth of electricity.

CardRecovery : WinRecovery Software winrecovery.com or www.plimus.com. you can download the trial version and you can actually see iwhich ones were recovered, the only thing with the trial is that you wont be able to save the recovered files.

sorry, was able to log on back just now.

    cheers

for all of you who do photoshoots professionally, what measures do you take to avoid something like this happening?

I can just imagine the great frustration and dismay of losing your shots this way. I experienced losing a lot of shots but it was my fault as i accidentally/stupidly selected format instead of erase all with some shots protected thinking that the protected shots wouldnt be erased. and those were shots we took on a tour of bohol churches. Nobody to blame but me.
