This is an ART TubeMP microphone amplifier. It utilizes a 12AX7 tube for warm tube sound and compression. Use this to preamplify microphones before they reach the mixer; it also works great for acoustic instruments with piezo pickups. In the studio this also works as a warm tube DI box for electric guitar or bass. A major feature of the TubeMP is Output Protection Limiting (OPL). Protect your expensive studio gear from excessive output levels. Another great function of the TubeMP is as a mastering preamplifier; run mixes through the TubeMP before hitting tape or hard disk to impart tube compression and warmth. A piece of classic gear that makes a fine addition to any project studio.

As a guitar player, i also discovered that this box makes for a very transparent overdrive "pedal."

Jeremiahjay: Nope, not brand new, but used only a few times. It was never out of its box for long. I also don't know if this is sold locally, so i can't quote prices.
