Thanks for the tips......
Check if there's an additional driver that needs to be installed during the initial setup of XP. Maybe the laptop is using a SATA disk.
i think mo detect man gihapon ang xp installation sa sata drives
Yes. but some SATA based disks require drivers. It's a common problem when converting "Vista" OS notebooks to XP. The problem can sometimes be solved by changing the BIOS on some machines.Originally Posted by giglis

brod,
ako pud unta na buhaton ang pag downgrade, as you call it. From vista basic to xp prof.. Based sa akong research kay you really need to uninstall the vista first... how to do it? maybe someone in here can suggest how. kay sa MS nga mga OS is dili jud pwede mo downgrade like xp prof na imong OS nya nahan ka mag dual boot to windows 98 or ME. Dili jud sya mosugot mo load kay higher version na imong OS unya ilisan nimo ug lower version.
how to uninstall vista? its simple back-up your important files... format the hard drive at DOS environment (before it loads the OS) then install the new OS(XP) u want...
DILI GYUD MAWALA ANG FLOPPY DISK DRIVE. heheheh
sakto ka,,, hehehe... bisan karaan na, gamit ghapon... maau gani dili na ang dako na floppy 5".Originally Posted by IT
u dont have an option to downgrade on a vista os...true what needs to be done is too boot to the cdrom and erase everything after a back up has been done ..then do a fresh install....thats what i did with my asus laptop
