    Tropical Cyclone Warning: Tropical Depression "LANDO"
    Issued at 1:45 p.m., Monday, 19 November 2007

    The active low pressure area east of Northern Mindanao has developed into a Tropical depression and was named "LANDO".

    Location of Center:
    (as of 12:00 NN) 80 kms East Southeast of Surigao City

    Coordinates: 9.6ーN 126.1ーE
    Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center
    Movement: West Northwest at 13 kph

    Forecast Positions / Outlook:

    Tuesday morning:
    240 kms West Northwest of Surigao City or
    60 kms West of Cebu City

    Wednesday morning:
    230 kms West Northwest of Iloilo City

    Thursday morning:
    220 kms Northwest of Puerto Prinsesa City

    Likewise, residents in coastal areas are also advised to be alert for big waves generated by this tropical cyclone.

    The public and the disaster coordinating councils concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 5 p.m. today.
