Whats the diff bet AGP and PCI/PCI express Video Cards? and w/c is better?

mag depende gyud na kon unsa ang ma support sa imo mobo. pci-e ba o agp pero kon bag-o imo mobo then likle pci-e na.

Hands down PCIe is the best! AGP is a distant second and PCI, , save your slots for your modem.

Seriously, buy the videocard that fits the available slot of your MB. If you have an AGP slot, no way your PCI will fit in it. If you have one of those strange mobos with both an AGP and PCIe slot, the AGP slot is just there so that in case you have an AGP card in your old Motherboard that you're not willing to let go of just yet, you can still use it.

So if you're buying a NEW card, get the PCIe. Budget oriented ka with good performance for value, 7600GS Ultra Pro. 8800GT also.

AGP is the OLD standard..like a few years ago. PCI-e has at least twice the max bandwidth of AGP. PCI is even older/slower.


note: AGP and PCI-e are just the x8 and x16(and x32) versions of PCI respectively and i'm talking about bandwidth..hehe
