    It’s the start of the most prestigious award for movies - It's time for the Oscars!

    Did you know that the forerunner for best animated feature is RATATOUILLE?.. We’ll now you know! :mrgreen:

    yup. and a lot more movies to look forward to. I personally can't wait for There Will Be Blood, I'm Not There, and No Country for Old Men. I hope we also get them in theaters here.

    yeah.. she had it coming: critics have already been praising her performance in The Golden Age and I'm Not There even then..

    I'm also looking forward to Kite Runner for Best Foreign Language Film.
    Among the five nominees, though, it's the only one that hasn't won a major award yet:

    4 luni, 3 saptamani si 2 zile (4 months, 3 weeks, 2 days) won Cannes Palm d'Or this year
    Scaphandre et le papillon, Le (The Diving Bell and the Butterfly) won National Board of Review's Best Foreign Language
    Se, jie (Lust, Caution) has been winning so much accolades for Ang Lee, Tony Leung, and Joan Chen and won Venice FF Golden Lion
    Persepolis (2007) won Cannes Jury Prize and a Best Animated Feature in another Critic's Circle

    So, if The Kite Runner wins it'd be really great for Marc Forster and the two controversial neophyte kids.. It'd become a major push come Oscars next year.

    Above all i want RATATOUILLE to win Best Animated Film!
