BECK -mongolian chop squad-

I was surprised when I heard this, it's a bit old news but Beck is going to be anime. I shouldn't judge beforehand and I do love the manga but Beck anime 'sounds' too wierd for me. It just can't be good, Beck's music scenes are great entirely because of your imagination.

'Beck is the story of young Tanaka Yukio, who's a bit of a loser, spineless wimp and nobody, all rolled into one. However, his life takes a huge change for the exciting when he meets Minami Ryusuke, a musician and role model of sorts to Yukio. While it takes a bit of time to get around to, Yukio eventually gets into music and joins up with Ryusuke's band, Beck. The story follows Beck's progression and Yukio's adolescence at the same time. This anime has some great characters and story development and I can't recommend it enough if you're a musician or otherwise heavily into music. Beck began serialization in Monthly Shonen Magazine in 1999, and is collected into 19 volumes (plus two guide books) to date.'

I heart BECK!

though a bit slow paced, it somehow is a realistic anime, and I love the characters.
