man its not fair everybody knows that X2 is far more better than the ordinary Pentium D
just w8 for the intels new dual core or quad core next year to come out.

man even in the pricing range.. of course AMD x2 is for the enthusiastic pc users not for the mainstream users

if i got money (like Richy Rich) i would buy X2 4800, but if im a plane NOYPi who only got a minimum salary i will just use Pentium D for money over value of use

^^ and that money you saved with a Pentium D will simply be consumed by your electricity bills :P

ur right but it depends on the power supply ur using (350watts or 600watts) most AMD users even use 600watts just to add pogi pc points even thou they dont need it

hehehe doesnt matter how big your supply is. Doesn't mean that just because you're using 600W supply means you're consuming that amount too.Â* It's just the maximum load that your supply can take.Â* if your whole system takes up only 300W .. there is no difference in electricity bill whether you're using a 350W or 600W PSU

using a high end PSU is NOT for pogi points alone. lets see you run a X2 with 2 other SLI or Xfire cards and 4 sata harddrives on that 350w PSU =p

    sakto ka bro.
A bigger power supply could also mean a cooler system.

wat i mean is the basic proc setup dude, not high-end competitive set-up, and wat i mean is for those pogi points for those people who buy high wattage psu w/ only less harware in the Rig Crib yo.. (0_o)....

fact of the matter is that dual core athlons/opterons are more power efficient compared to current dual core Intels.Â* ergo. AMD is the clear winner when it comes to performance/watt ratio. Although initial cash layout for AMD dual core is a bit high.. it's still ok coz you save in the long run. Just like most of the more practical people buy diesel engines because they save more on gas in the long run. main difference is that with AMD dual cores.. you save in the long run.. and the procs are faster too.
