Dugay naman na gisigehan ug patay ang bisaya dialect, kani adtong ilang gihimong tagalog ang national language sa tibuok Pilinas.
Major dialects from top to bottom
1. Bikol,
2. Cebuano,
3. Hiligaynon (Ilonggo),
4. Ilocano,
5. Kapampangan,
6. Pangasinan,
7. Tagalog, and
8. Waray

On your pagtangtang sa tagalog:
Ikapila man ang tagalog sa kadaghanon mo speak? Ikaw pito ra pero nganong kana man ang gi himong national language?
Balik tas Imperial Manila ug mga colonial leaders. Sa dialect palang daan naa na diha ang disparity.
I actually don't mind tagalog tang-tangon, walay problema kay anyway sukad pagka elementary gi tudlo naman na, hangtud pa highschool... I tudlo paman gihapon.. Inig college pwede na gyud kaayo ng tanggalon.
Kay even in your everyday life it has always been there, it's a non-issue mabuhi ra kog wala na siya, tanawa inig uli nimo tan-aw ug TV pulos tagalog, inig tanaw nimos commercial sa tV pulos tagalog sigeg kanta2x.
As if you don't have enough of it, you are being bombarded by the dialect which is actually not even your native tongue kung bisaya ka. Mas maayo pa tingale nga Japanese, Korean ug Chinese ang ipangtudlo. Naa patay mapunit ana nga mga language, kay believe it or not. These are 3 major languages that'd give you an edge when seeking for jobs here and abroad.
Speaking of Bisaya dialect, to the lovers of art, music, and literature, and the nationalistic patriots, maayo tingale nga i padayon.
I can still remember reading books sa elementary nga binisaya ang naka sulat didto.
Mas dali masabtan sa bata, nga even ako bata ko nagbasa nakasabot na dayon ko, ug unsa ang thought nga gitudlo sa author.
As what they say " History is written by the victors". Unfortunately, the Philippines doesn't have that much influence towards other nations.
We never won wars for ourselves, and other countries in general doesn't get a lot of benefits learning the bisaya dialect.
I maybe talking in the macro scale, but I think that is where supports and lobbyists bear the weight something to take center stage.
Take a look at Korean language, the lawmakers would never have thought of the idea of adding such language kung wala tay ma benefit from it, and ohh the ominous English language. The Philippines in general (economy, people) benefit from the language thus dili gyud siya ma wala.

Maong siguro mas maayo ibalik ang bisaya, kung ang mga bisaya mismo maka hatag ug impact sa tibuok kalibutan, nga kita pud mismo makabenefit sa atong kaugalingon nga dialect.
Then again, the linguists and the literature lovers could always argue otherwise.
huh? unsay relevance sa bisaya ani sa issue? gitangtang ba ang pinulungan nga bisaya sa ched? bisaya is even a broad dialect its not even a direct dialect. theres hiligaynon, waray, cebuano, ilonggo et al.
ako uyun ko ani nga tangtangon ang tagalog ug philippine literature as required subject sa college. it should be taught sa lower levels like elementary and high school. in college it should be an elective. if ganahan ang estudyante makaton ug mga philippine literature this need not be taught as daghan mga books about it. tagalog or filipino should be an elective and not required.

when it comes to cebuano literature nah adto ramo sa cebuana library sa san carlos main. ambot if naa pa didto.adto man ko pirmi sa una kay interested man ko sa cebuano literature.
If Filipinos are still keen to Not Lose their National Identity , then these dialects and languages must remain or become compulsory. Otherwise, it will be buried in time. Countries like Australia and NZ are working on making their indigenous languages compulsory.
Tangtangon nang tagalog pulihan ug bisaya!
Kill the tagalogs lolz
daghan misinformed nga mga tao. remember that this circular is only from CHED which is only for college studes. these subjects are still mandatory in primary(elementary) and secondary(HS).
yes boss. usually kana conversational makat-unan raman na sa elementary ug HS which is why ok kaayo required siya sa elementary ug HS, lahi ra if makaton ka thru lessons kaysa sa tv or internet.kay conversations involves proper communication naay listener ug naay speaker.
i don't think sa college necessary nga ma required na ang filipino subject ug literature. if ganahan ka mo dwell ana nga subject then available paman na siya as elective.
