Hello MindCollaps, good hdd is "a must" to have. Many can't afford themselves and buy budget version but after short time so side effects will appear. https://prizedreviews.com/synology-vs-qnap/ - is a great option if you want more storage and to be fast enough for data exchange. I purchased my self one this year. QNAP model is on my working station. Recmmend, think you will like also. My opinion was to have something good that will last long years and not to have anykind of issues. If you want I can send some pics in pm They have also setup guide for NAS. I work as photographer and need a lot of storage plus access from any place and moment.
