Default Advise for building a rig.

I'm planning to build again since i think dili pa worth to upgrade laptops.
i will wait nalang sa max-q ready and ma-standardize na siya, probably 2 years from now.
    Here are the specs:

    CPU: intel i5 (7400 or 7500?)
GPU: nvidia GTX (1050ti or 1060?)
    Ram: 2 x 8GB DDR4 2400 MHz
    PSU: corsair (550W or 650W?)
    Mobo: Asus B250M (probably?)
    HDD: SSD
    CASE: tecware edge
    CPU Cooler: (need pa ba?)

Planning to play latest games on Full 1080p HD max settings e.g Witcher 3, Tomb Raider, NBA 2K18, AC franchise, PUBG, D3, WOW, Skylines, Middle-Earth series, etc.
Will also do some video editing, not heavy ones. naa sad gud instance na ug mag playback ug 4k na video mo lag na ang PC.

    Mga question:
1.) Should getting i3 nalang will be okay sa buid? or go nalang to i7 if 1060 ang GPU of choice?
2.) Pa-suggest ko sa CPU,VCARD, and PSU. gaduha-duha jud ko ani na part.
3.) Planning dual monitor set-up for 1080p monitors (nakabasa ko kaya radaw max settings sa 1050ti if 1080p ra)
    4.) Ang PSU kaya ra?
5.) Compatible rabuh sa usa't usa akong mga parts? not planning to OC, stock sa lang ni tanan. but i'm openminded if suggested.

    Salamat kaayo sa mga suggestions.

good to go nani nga set up
kay gaming man mani nga pc.

kon mada ug utong pag 8th gen nga intel
next year pani cya, ma fully available.

no reason to go for 7th gen when 8th gen i5 have 6 cores and 6 threads.

  4. #4
I think mas better mg invest sa 8th gen procies. If video editing mas pabor ang kusog na cpu unless if kusog ka mg 3d modeling and vfx.

1060 would be better, gmay nlng mn sd diff sa 1050ti.

And for the psu, i suggest silverstone coz dali ma RMA locally )

so coffeelake i5 is 6cores 6threads? but go with the 8700 not the 8400. (just googled it).
naa ko nakitan na build na 1060 can max/ultra setting sa 1080p resolution.
better settle to 1060 nalang kaysa 1050ti. around 5k php price diff. man ngale.
    thanks sa mga suggestions sir.

just browsing the net. i think around 9k ang 4gb 1050ti and ang 6gb 1060 is 16k. (founders ed.) so around 5k to 6k diff.

    1. Based sa imong games gipang hisgot, naay mo utilize ug more than 2 cores. DON'T go for i3

    2. 1050/Ti can't MAX witcher 3 (heaviest game mentioned i guess). The 1060 could barely maintain @ 1080p 60fps. High settings, YES but NOT max settings. As for PSU, naay Thermaltake Smart SE 530W semi modular from Nab or Interpace @ 2250 php. As for CPU and Board - if ganahan ka mopalit now on a strict budget, pwede ra ang i5 7400 + the board you mentioned PERO I DON'T recommend it. 8th gen is out. Ang imo problem with 8th gen if now ka mopalit is motherboard availability - only z370 boards are available. Lower class boards (B260, etc) possibly next year pa ma release. I would suggest you wait kung maabot na ang lower boards.

Pero if money is not an issue karon, suggest ko ug i5 8600k + any z370 board para di ka alkanse

    3. If imo i dual monitor ang witcher 3? kaya raman. Just expect lower graphic settings.

    4. Yes - kaya ra ana nga PSU. Tho naa koy gi recommend sa number 2.

    5. Yes - compatible ra.

    Things to take note:

8th Gen is not compatible with 7th gen/6th gen boards tho same socket ra sila and vice versa. That's because 8th gen processors need more power requirement.

salamat sa input sir. actually with playing games, 1 monitor lang e utilize. but yeah, 60fps high settings is good for me.
ako working space lang is dual monitor setup.
i was planning to go down sa price mao non k and b250 chipset ra.
so basically if mo go ko to 8th gen i cant find mobo na lower class.
what if ill go with i7 7th gen? but suffice naman ang i5 noh?

Yes - if mag 8th gen ka now, wala pay lower end boards available (internationally). i5 would suffice for everyday gaming unless mag gamit kag cpu-intensive programs (like photoshop, video edit, etc). Pero even with an i5, it would still do the job fine.

i7 is up to you. If budget allows, why not?
