    Default thread crapping

    Good day,

I would just like to call the attention of some moderators to please take a look at this Istoryan, bkrayge. He has been posting in the sports section with very irrelevant posts with the message 'up' in almost all of it. Samok lang kaayo, and I think and believe that it's inappropriate to do such here in this site.

    Thank you in advance.

    to the moderators good day!

I think I have made a good report about one member here whom I am complaining about, yet I haven't seen any action by any administrator/moderator about this matter, a simple reply email will do explaining why is it not possible for them to implement istorya.net rules on this person who speaks of personal defamation and does thread crapping/hijacking in the buy and sell forum, in the thread I personaly made. I know I am not a paid member of istorya.net but just like anyone else, I also need to gain some assurance that member's here in istorya.net respect each other and respect the set rules. It is frustrating somehow that a member keeps on messaging me and he seems not afraid of the rules set by the administrators. I have utmost respect to other members here and do not discriminate newbie or junior status as I was previously before, proving myself that I am no crap. I do not claim that I am 100%perfect in folllowing the rules point by point, but atleast I have respect to give to the moderators, to the site's rules and to everybody else here including the person whom I receive personal attacks thru my private message. I am urging site admin, moderators and other members who hold high respect to others to please hear my cry.

Reporting someone about something done through private messages is not going to do anything. We cannot verify what is being said privately without violating the user's privacy. You wouldn't want us to look into your private messages, so why should we look into another person's? In certain cases these can be looked into and if this persists, your best bet would be to send a private message to BeoRski.

    Hi Sir vern!

(just my personal view on this matter) (I am just confused with the Rule#1)
Thank you really for responding to my post it is a relief that I get to have a written reply direct from a moderator. I was jsut reading and reveiwing the Site rules set by Sir Beorski and I came across this rule, let me jsut quote :

(iSTORYA.NET Site-Wide Rules - Covers all parts / sections of the site.

    --------

    1. Posts should be composed in such a manner that respects persons of all races, religions, cultures, and sexualities. No post may contain personal attacks, as they have no proper place in discussions. The purpose of this forum is to facilitate growth, not to belittle others. This also applies to Private Messages and the Shoutbox entries.)

I am not sure how it goes with how the admins or moderators look into a personal attack made thru a personal private message in our inboxes, I know everybody here has the right to privacy and I for one respect that right, but referring back to the number one rule set by Sir Beorski how can a personal attack be looked upon if it was made thru a Private Message entry?

As you have said (Reporting someone about something done through private messages is not going to do anything), if this doesn't do anything then why is it according to the set RULE # 1 that personal attacks also apply to private messages or shoutbox entries and how would you even support such rule if you are not to look into it further to verify.

I am not urging you to look into his private messages but you have my Full permission/consent that im allowing you to look into my private messages just to verify that I was indeed a victim of personal attacks. By allowing you to look into my private messages entry you are no longer in violation with my user's privacy. And yes he did persist by messaging me second time into my private message folder and then messaging again into my enrty in buy and sell sporting goods section with a devlish smiley. I do not have ill intentions about this person who made pesonal attacks towards me but an email warnign from the admins may do. We can co-exist with anybody here aslong as respect is upholded.

    Thank you Sir vern!

I am aware of the rules, my point was verification of things said through private messages. Do you wish us to intrude on the privacy of users every time things such as this is reported? Like I said, your only course of action is to course this through BeoRski, only he can verify what has or has not been said through private messages. No one should be moderating on someone's word alone. Personally, I think you should have used a great tool that people neglect before anything escalates ... the Ignorelist. This can be found in your Profile -> Personal Message Options.

I get your point sir Vern even the first time you have explained it, that verifying should always be done on both parties. Thanks!

Everyday I learn something new in Istorya.net settings.. thank you for the info about the ignore list options..
