    Default Franchising Business (Potato Corner)

My siblings and I are planning to venture into food cart/franchising business. We prefer Potato Corner, kay known na brand and daghan mamalit especially the younger ones. As of now we don’t have yet the location, and wala pud me any background aning franchising business. I have questions and hopefully naay maka tabang, especially kadto naay experience aning franchising business about food/snacks. Very much appreciated kung maka share mo.

    1. Any feedbacks about Potato corner, is it lucrative for franchising?

    2. I know anha jud ni daugon sa location. Which do you prefer na location, schools or malls? Considering also bayad sa rent. (Appreciate naa mo ma suggest specific location na pwedi maabang).

    3. To start, ako mismo mo manage ani since naa pako free time for now. Okay lang ba isa ka employee and ako lang mopuli kung mag rest day or mag absent?

    4. Naa sad ni mga renewal of contracts, then mo bayad na pud para sa pag renew?

    5. Kinahanglan tag legal advises ani kung naay dili masabtan sa contract? Anyways start lang sa man gud ni og ginagmay lang una like cart or Kiosk.

    6. Unsa kaha paagi nila sa mga raw materials and delivery?

    7. Dili ba hasol pag kuha sa mga requirements ani for legitimacy like DTI, BIR etc..? Motabang ba ang franchisor sa pag process ani?

    8. How much would be the capital required for the start up and the operational cost to keep the business running? Example Kiosk.

Naa pa man siguro daghan questions, but anyway pwedi ra pud dili tubagon tanan, kana lang naay ma share and naay experience bahin ani na business. Share lang bahala negative or positive feedbacks.

    Thanks!

checked their site and a standard kiosk would set you back 350,000.

If I had that cash to play around with, I would rather make my very own business rather than give that money to someone else in exchange for something that even my 8 year old son can make himself (frozen fries, artificial flavoring, cooking oil, frier, all of these can be bought in the grocery).

Of course we can argue that PC has the "brand" which commands their obviously over priced products (imagine 80 pesos for fake food? mahal pa sa chickenjoy (naay fake ingredients sure but at least real chicken)?). Given this fact, I would say this is a product that will only thrive in the good days (like where our country is now which is an expanding/booming economy). Pero moabot gani panahon sa recesyon, magmata ra dayon ang mga masa makarealize nana sila ahak dakong ilad ba diay ani palit nalang tag chickenjoy oi klarong busog pa.

But hey, that's just me. Of course if you don't have the experience and capacity to come up with your own business, getting a franchise like this is way better than putting a downpayment on that new car - the same car that will cost 20% less the moment it gets out of the showroom.

    Good luck!
