Default Asus RT-N18u, possible for NAS?

I have a router with 2 USB ports (one is 3.0, the other 2.0), my question relates to its NAS capablity. By the way, I have already changed its firmware to Tomato by Shibby. Now, I want not just one external HDD but around 3 or 4. So my query is: Can I use a powered USB Hub 3.0 and attached it to the USB port of the Asus router and thus now have several ports for my HDDs?

Yes you can mount a USB disk. I recommend formatting it into EXT3

Yes you can put usb hub in the 3.0usb slot - but not recommended. USB3.0 interferes badly with 2.4ghz.
Use USB 2.0 as much as you can.
