I hope this helps to those want to play BDO in english servers that are IP Blocking outside countries. Hopefully, countries that are blocked will be serviced by this game sooner this year. For the mean time, Lets play NA/EU version. Here's How...............

1. VPN (Hotspot Shield recommended)

- You need this three if you plan to buy the game. Around 9$ ~

3. GUEST PASSES

STEP 2: LOGIN & PLAY

- After downloading, login your account in the launcher. "NO NEED TO INSTALL"
NOTE: Turn-ON your VPN before inputing your account login info.

- After logging in, PLAY button will be available in the launcher. Click "PLAY"
NOTE: Turn-OFF your VPN before selecting your desired SERVER/CHANNEL (anyway servers are already merge in NA, not sure on EU though.

- Once you successfully play the game. Refer to step 3.

"You don't need to always run the VPN while playing. You only need it when you login the game or accessing their website".

STEP 3: GAME BACK-UP

- I highly recommend you back up your game once everything is running fine. Some game patches messes-up some gamefiles (especially the PAZ files) and you don't want to download/file-repair this huge game again. I promise this will save you bigtime if you encounter errors in the future.

- For PH, I have 30ms-80ms ping ingame. Yes, its very smooth PVE, GUILDWAR/PVP some lag spikes, but overall "VERY PLAYABLE". I'm using 10mbps wired broadband.



- To check your ping while playing, Go to "Task Manager" > "Performance" Tab > Click on "Open Resource Monitor" in the bottom > Click "Network" > "TCP Connections" > Look for something like "BlackDesert64.exe", it should display Latency there.

Hello! I came here to thank you for creating this guide. This actually helped me to be able to play the game. As of now, I am currently playing in EU server. I have asked my friends to join me in the game and we already started a small guild which consists of Filipino players. We are still studying every content of the game as there are lots of things to do within the game.

As for reply to noze question, the ping is quite okay. It actually depends on your connection. I have no problems playing the game. I am also able to play the game upon disabling the VPN. You just actually need the VPN to proceed with the launcher. Once the black screen pop up, you can cancel the VPN and you'd still be able to play the game. You only need to repeat it if you have been disconnected and need to relaunch the game.

I would also like to add that there has been an announcement regarding the CBT launch of Black Desert Online for SEA! The CEO of Pearl Abyss announced that they are targeting the CBT within this year. So if it would proceed, me and my guildmate/friends would migrate to SEA server. Though what I want to know is that if we would be able to transfer our progress from EU to SEA, well I hope they allow it right?
