One advantages of the body UV-6R:The UV-6R is with a 16 ohm high-impedance speaker instead of 8 ohm speaker whith will help with the voice launch and transmission. The UV-6R has the straw LED lamp with higher lumens,provide a brighter and further range for alarming or illuminating than the UV-5R
Two advantages of the body UV-6R:The UV-6R has a 15cm antenna(which is 3cm longer than the UV-5R's 12cm antenna) and multiple solid steel wire winding copper plating that will perform better in sending and receiving radio wave and signals and higher efficiency in transmission and reception compared to the UV-5R. The UV-6R has a new design clip-on removal in the bottom of the radio and non-slip design for the back of the battery shell which making it more convenient to use
