Hello, I havent been to europe jud in particular, but I have been planning to go there for quite some time na (just saving some money paman in the mean time) I have gone to other places like AU, a lot of places in SEA. But I do have some backpacker friends who are from Europe so I can help you kung unsa ila gipangshare nako:

    1. kuan kay winter man, Buhdapest is the best place to go! awa ni: Why Winter is the Best Time to Visit Budapest

    https://www.lonelyplanet.com/thorntr...-travel-advice

    2. Nakatry na ba ka ug adto na place na winter season? Okay so ako maingon is, in contrary to what you see in TV. giatay jd kaau ang winter bugnaw kaau imagina bagyo sa pilipinas isagol na musud ka ug meat freezer na dagko. hehehe not to scare you though, winter can be very awesome sad. So bring a puff jacket, some long sleeves, beanie but kung training na and not a backpacking trip so they will provide ra guro for you I would say medium size luggage, IF naa kay hiking backpack (osprey/Deuter) na bags kay very sturdy. pero if you prefer kanang naay rollers, American tourister na brand nindot medium size. pero I dont really advice on roller na bags they're very bulky plus kung magoba ang rollers magkalisod jd ka. pero depende rajd na nimo Pack clothes na will last you a week, nya paglaba nlng ddto. hehe Tip: Bring a daypack (small backpack) for your day-to-day travels pd.

    3. I would not really recommend this, try to scour around sa jd mas maau mupalit ka elsewhere og dollar kaysa airport na maalkansi ka.

Visit barcelona(favorite nako) or munich during octoberfest. Paris is ok, food is great. Rome is nice pod unya gamay ra.

I woud bring a large suitcase. Sa money, if magpa change naman lang ka ug US dollar kay why not derecho na euro? bring a credit card if you have one.

A relative came back from Italy 3 weeks ago. She and her husband spent 80euro/day apiece if that helps. Though slightly above daw ni sa backpackers' type of budget. Maybe a person can do away with 60euro/day.

Ang pasalubong kay sticker sa ref ra gyud tawn paita haha

First of all make sure na imong Visa kay schengen Visa so you would be eligible to visit schengen zones. I have been to europe last year for a 3 months backpacking trip and i would suggest to visit the eastern part for the primary reason that it is the cheapest and not that crowded compare to the central part, sa ato pa SULIT imong kwarta dd2 nya mga nndot pd og suroyan. Since you will be basing in Hungary, the nearest place you can visit would be Slovakia(bratislava) former part of czechoslovakia, such a nice place and not that crowded. Czech Republic(Prague) would be a bit touristy but definitely a cheaper option as well. Then go north to Poland and visit Krakow or Warsaw, Austria(Vienna) would be a nearest option but Austria(Vienna)is VERY EXPENSIVE. Other EU places such as germany, france, italy, netherlands and etc are bit pricey and touristy its up to you but there are places here which is worth a visit. Since you are on a business trip, better get the large suitcase and bring a 20-30L backpack for your day trips. Definitely change directly to Euros. Remember European people are not that fond with US dollar na parehas nato na siga mata kng USD, d kaau na cla fan og US actually, So better get their money right away, ayaw sa airport pa ilis kay its a steal, dri sa pinas pag pa ilis na daan. Though in Czech republic they do have their own currency so better start with Euros.

My day to day budget in Europe was 20 - 50Euro per day depende asa na country this includes Hostel accommodation, Food, Beer and Transpo and some entrance fees sa museums and attractions. Im on a backpacking budget and sometime naay mo host nako sa couchsurfing nya sahay dli pa gani ma hurot budget nako for that day.

If you travel from country to another, Bus would be the cheaper option but a bit slower, if you are using the night bus that would be perfect option as you save a lot on fare as well as accomodation. Since you are on tight timeline there are also low cost airline in europe, Eg.

In my opinion, winter is not the best time to explore europe as compare to summer for the primary reason that some of the attractions are best viewed on a fair weather and you cannot roam around that much on a winter time. Though there are still sights which are good in winter time Eg. Christmas Village, SNOW?(lol) and etc.

Let me know if you need more info you can PM me.

Definitely bring or get proper winter and for the rain clothes that includes boots, scarves are especially helpful in covering your neck and throat. if you can source them out here in the Philippines before leaving much better. Download a reliable weather app on your phone. The weather in most parts of Europe is very unpredictable. I would want to bring a large size for a luggage, bring a daypack or even a 3 day backpack is good. Do not have your money changed in the airports. Try researching the transportation systems in the countries that you are planning to go to, a little bit of knowledge on how it works would be very helpful. If it is your first time in Europe, most of the Pinoys will welcome the cold and winter season, but if you stay much longer like what you will be doing. It will be a hassle and inconvenience especially we are not used to it. Good luck and enjoy!
