The UN can't go schit with what's going on in the US and cannot do schit with China's bullying. So ari nalang sila sa Pinas kay fresh pa kaayo ang mga pang hitabo pero unsaon man sad nila nga taagan ra man sila ug mid finger ni digong. haha.

And that is why it's becoming a Refugee Crisis Germany.
US does not need that problem right now.
They have 11 Million undocumented immigrants to deal with.

No offense my friend, but obviously you have the wrong understanding what is meant by "Land of the Free"
You should have read the US Constitution first.

I am a US Citizen and a resident for 20+ years now.
If you ask me if the US is the land of the free? my answer is Yes and NO.
But giving that Video sample with thread heading " US- Land of the Free?" is not right.

Nganong na apil man ko dire fafa @marius? Hahaha wala man ko alamag aning mga seryus nga subject nga ing.ani...kung KathNiel pa lang na or lovelife ni deLima, kana maka contribute pa cguro ko.

Btaw wala man na gamit ang UN oi. The U.S. exerts its influence on the UN 24/7, basically at its beck and call, all day everyday. It is pretty much a useless entity. Didto na nako na realize during the genocide in Rwanda in '94, which means gors na gyud diay ko kay ka remember pa ko ato. Anyway, the UN stood by and did absolutely nothing during the genocide, kay matod pa nila, their presence in the country was for peacekeeping purposes and they cannot intervene on the issues of a sovereign nation. Yeah, women and kids were being butchered in front of them and they watched it all unfold...doing nothing.

    Useless piece of crap...

Bisan asa wala gyuy total freedom,
always follow the laws of the land.
kanang gipang-kulata diha puwede pud na sila mokiha.

    Kinsa kahay ga-fund sa UN.

The United Nations (UN) is funded by its member states through compulsory and voluntary contributions. The size of each state’s compulsory contribution depends mainly on its economic strength, though its state of development and debt situation are also taken into account.

Switzerland’s compulsory contribution is currently equal to 1.14% of the UN budget. This rate applies on an annual basis from 2016 to 2018. Switzerland thus ranks 17th in the list of contributors.

Over and above their compulsory contributions, member states also make voluntary contributions to:
◾the Specialized Agencies of the UN System such as the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the World Health Organization (WHO)
◾UN Programmes and Funds such as the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF)

Mas influential ang mga datu nga nasud dili gyud nila hilabtan,
    mag-ayo dili na tagaan.

i think the heading of this thread did not say it was absolute. as you said, it's also a no. so what's the issue?

what I'm on about is that the US need not intervene on the issue of the killings in Duterte's term since their hands are not so clean either in relation to the alleged abuse of power by the police. were they this vocal during abnoy's term where there were more killings?

it is apparent in this short clip that their police, some of them at least are very abusive whereas the police in the Philippines, at least most of them, are now doing their job properly knowing that someone will protect them in case they get in the way of a drug personality who may very well be protected by a high ranking politician.

I was about to post something like this boss Tirong but then thanks to you everybody will have to stop the misunderstanding.

In addition, the UN has its own use and its own jurisprudence in which the founded charters of each country involved are influenced. What baffles the international community is the absolution of the international law, e.g., a socialist-communist country v democratic country under a territorial dispute whose freedom and reputation are at stake. If there was no UN, war could've been inevitable in any geo-political conflict. All-out wars could happen on a monthly basis.

But what demerits the sincerity of the UN is the way it leans on the superpowers, i.e., 1st world countries.

Now USA the Land of the Free? Never heard of it because the tag was always about USA - The Land Created By Immigrants, so it should always be free.
