Cant even think of a con sa diskless..
asa ibutang ang monitor?... aw disk diay
ang cons kay - price
pros - speed, durability
--PRO's:
-no disk(s)
-os updates/game updates are done only once on a single client.
-if you add a new unit (with same specs specially the mobo) just plug-in and it will work na [computer name ra basin i-ilis]
--CON's:
-sakit sa ulo (for noobs)
-SERVER dies, so as well as all your units
-runs slow in 100M networks (1G recommended)
-generally limited to 1G network
-implementing LACP is too darn expensive [for OCD's only or idiots like me]
-your NETWORK is the LIMITING factor!
-speed of your client performance is directly proportional to the number of clients accessing the server
GENERALLY, you benefit MAINLY "LESSER" maintenance for diskless.
and for me personally..., if I am able to afford 120Gb SSD's, dili nako mag diskless and I will return to normal computer setup but with using the 120Gb SSD's as it will be magnitude folds faster in any aspects [boot, loading times, etc]![]()

the only thing that I'm using diskless is because of the nightmare of patching every single units you have. but with the advent of "reverse proxy server(s)" such as HandyCache..., pwede nako mubalik sa normal setup, dayon pwede rako maka-utilize ug 100M switches(this is just my personal preferences)

Yes, you are indeed correct about SSD lifespan vs HDD.
I believe all of them can sustain that long
bitaw bro..., If you'll use it for diskless, mas "less" pa gyud na iya write cycles kai daghan man ang 'RAM Cache' and by the time it reaches around 3/4/5 years, imo naman ni ma-ilisan ug bag-o..., dili tungod kai naguba..., kundi it served its purpose or na-a na mas nindot nga item ikapuli ani niya. in short ROI nimo kai bawi na ^_^
in regards to SSD sa diskless, duda ka-ayo ko ani sa-una pareha nimo nag-problema sa write cycles..., pero in reality..., lesser write cycles ra gyud. mostly ang nagtrabaho kai ang RAM Cache, ug kung na-a man gani SSD Cache kai rare ka-ayo ang write cycles niya, puro ra gyud read.
ok ra ^_^, daghan pa mas master nako diri ^_^
nakalimot di-ay ko sa number 1 nga CON para sa diskless
-sakit sa ulo (for noobs)
