So I have a new ACER laptop that I would like to upgrade my ram to 8GB(currently 4GB). It requires a DDR4 RAM. Question is, if I upgrade my RAM, do I need to have it upgraded by service centers to avoid voiding my warranty? If so, where in Cebu City do I need to go to upgrade?

i would recommend upgrading your HDD to an SSD 1st before upgrading the RAM for laptops

Boss tan-awa usa ang luyo sa imong laptop ug naay RAM cover nga pwede ra nimo maabli by your self aron ikaw ra mo ilis. Pwede ra kaayo ikaw mo ilis aron maka save kag time and it will not void your warranty basta wala lang physical damage. But if you're not certain pag taud sa RAM, better adto nalang sa service center kay aron walay problema. Pero ayaw palit ug RAM sa service center kay mahal kaayo sila ug presyo almost 2-3 times ang presyo. Klaroha usa unsa na DDR4 RAM module imong paliton before ka mo buy. You can use CPUZ to check your RAM specs.

bro you need to go to acer service center and have them upgrade your RAM, it will void the warranty if you do it yourself.
Purchase a RAM first before going to the service center, igo ra sila mo taod so pag dala nalang daan.
also ask them to take care of the laptop during the installation of additional RAM, chances are if new model imo laptop and the technician doesn't know how to crack it open, magka dent imo laptop so remind them ahead.
ila service center is naa sa f. cabahug, google map, padong pandagdait maagian ra
