Anyway, magpa renovate ko's akong unit sa Deca 3 Dumlog. Naglibog jud ko unsa akong gamiton materials for room partition sa taas. Akong three choices kay:
    1. plywood
    2. gypsum board

Unsa inyo ma-advice in terms sa PRICES aning 3? Akong gi search, pinakamahal man ang plywood. Ngita ko ug mas makabarato pero durable pud.

Please help. If maka hatag mo sa estimated prices sa 3 and asa maka buy, thank you kaayo!

based on what i've read lang ha. hardiflex or marine plywood is better kay ang gypsum daw kay dali magupok kung naay moisture. particle board kay murag kanang material gamit sa cheap cabinets dha department stores nga after some time kay magsugod na ug kalata.

kung dili prone sa anay ang inyong balay much better ang plywood . ang naka nindot lang jud sa hardiflex kay anti-anay ug fire resistant pero dali lang mabuslot o mo crack labi na ug dili maayo pagka taud sa frame

fiber cement board or more commonly known as hardiflex ang gamita. mas dali e install kay metal furring ang frame so maka save ka sa labor cost then lightweight and dili flammable.

    Let me rank this:

4th place goes to, particle board. Particle board is basically made of waste wood material binded together. They are good for furniture but it fails when it is exposed to moisture.

3rd place goes to Gypsum board. I like this board though for its sound-proofing quality & termites don't eat this. The only sad thing about this product is that it withers when it is exposed to moisture.

2nd place goes to plywood. There are many types in other countries but in the Philippines, we have ordinary plywood & marine plywood. Marine plywood is good since it can survive moisture but expensive. Plywood is good when your dealing with aesthetics like the look of varnish, woodstain & it can be bended. This is mostly used in doors nowadays & in high end cabinetries (laminated marine plywood). The disadvantage of plywood is it can be eaten by termites. It is needs a lot of preparatory work prior to painting since the surface isn't flat.

1st place or the winner: Fiber cement board commonly known to us as Hardiflex manufactured by the company James Hardie. It's very versatile. You can use it in flooring, sidings, ceilings, fascia, eaves, interior walls, substrates & even Toilet & Bath walls. It's easy to install though it needs an expert (joints must be addressed properly or it cracks), easy to paint, waterproof, termite-proof & fire-resistant. I usually specify this for my projects as an Architect. One tip: if budget is tight, there's this product called Hardiflex Lite. It's 3.5mm only, very thin & you may use it on areas where it is not susceptible to moisture like the living room ceiling.
