    also take note na ang 80GB is subject to filesize conversion. so, ang usable space sa 80GB disk is only around 78GB only.

    You mean you bought a Hard disk with 80GB size. Then when you partition it you noticed that instead 80GB the Windows show only 78GB size.

    The short answer with that is there are two different measurement formats used. The Decimal and the Binary formats. Decimal is "GB" while the Binary is "GiB". Windows used "Binary" while the manufacturers used "Decimal". Both Windows and manufacturers giving the correct number.

    Do you still remember the Binary conversion and Decimal conversion?...Binary numbers that are power of 2 and Decimal numbers that are power of 10.

    KB = 1024
    MB = 1,048,576
    GB = 1,073,741,824

    Then they just round to:

    KB = 1,000
    MB = 1,000,000
    GB = 1,000,000,000

    10,000,000,000/1,073,741,824 = 9.3132257

    Bibili ka ba ng hard drive that is labeled as 2^30 byte hard drive? Or would you rather see a 80Gb drive? Don't tell me you will get a calculator pa para lang malaman na 80GB yong hard drive. Parang gago kang tignan right?...hehehe...So don't worry about your 2 GB, they are all there.

    Memory manufacturers also are doing things right. You don't see then selling 1Gb of memory as 1,073Mb do ya?...hehehe...So got it?

    btw, ako gitan.aw ang chart nga gihatag ni SHENGTON..

    it should be 74.51 GB..

    sure ba nga 78GB? coz AFAIK, 6.85% sa HDD size ang makuhaan from it's printed value..
