Question about my Laptop HDD Seagate?

Mga master just asking for my laptop Seagate HDD nga new nako gi buy. I just noticed this when checking thru HDD Sentinel kay iyang Total start/stop count reaches 3,726 is this normal? to think this hdd is new nako gi palit lang and I wonder di ba kaha ni refurbished? why man ing ana ka grabe ka taas iyang total start/stop count? is this a failing HDD? pero so far so good wala manpud ko hinoon na encounter nga mag freeze, slow, shutdown or any issues sa akong laptop. Need your help to enlighten me. Thank you mga master please refer to the actual screenshot.

after 2 hours of running : 82

after a day of running : 61

ka 3x gilisan ug 1TB Seagate HDD. same errors.

UNTIL I ASKED FOR A WD Black Scorpio para ilis

or amo uli ang Laptop since its just 3 days after we purchased it.

@butitoy: Salamat Sir sa information. Sakto jud ka it is a sign of a failing HDD kay to think a week old pani nako jud and wondered why ana ka taas iyang total stop/start count. I also compared this new hdd sa akong 4 yrs old laptop with WD hdd and the total stop/start count ang difference niya kay akong old hdd has 6k total start/stop count whereas my new hdd has 3k total start/stop count and concluded nga abnormal jud akong new hdd and will not notice it until the drive is failing.

Boss unsay cause ana? factory defective right?

I will return this to the store and hope they will replace it asap. Thank you boss.

Pero upon observation grabe ka taas sa iyang Total stop/start count and it reaches 5,728

Just now lang ako gi uli ang HDD pero mag wait pako ug 2-3 weeks huhuh ka dugay pa kay ni lampas na ug 7 days warranty replacement.

BIAS..prevalent among same company tools

3rd party tools are more reliabe

like HD Tune and HDD Sentinel etc.

Ako na gi uli boss 1 week lapas na lage mao paabot ko ug 2-3 weeks. Kapoy na kaayo ug lalis nila di jud mahangyo mao nga paabot langko sa new replacement kay on the way naman daw.

I have plan to change brand, do you think Toshiba is good and reliable than seagate? kay mao ako plan iilis gud then since daghang nindot reviews basta 2.5" hdd daw reliable kaayo what do you think mga master tinood?

tagam nko anang SIYAGATE,taas ug failure rate dli pareha sauna nga lig-on.i'd prefer WD,Hitachi/HGST,Toshiba.mulahutay pag dugay maski gamay nlang ug health.
