    Default External HDD or USB?

Flash drives are smaller than external hard drives and cannot hold nearly as much data.

You still need an external HDD if you need a higher capacity.

"Flash drives are smaller than external hard drives and cannot hold nearly as much data." As of now.

You may have forgotten nga few years back wala pay 500GB even 1TB HDDs. Couple of years ago wala pay 64GB nga USB Drive. Technology is evolving and more are becoming available to consumers. Gamer ka? if so for sure aware ka nga bago pa lang na sa market ang SSD and like high cap USB flash drives, nag ka dugay nag ka dako ang mga SSD capacity nga i release sa market. So, para tubagon imong pangutana, 8TB or even 16TB? Wala pa. The highest capacity available is 1TB.

If SSD can reach storage capacity of 16TB (Samsung PM1633a) you think dili mo abot ang panahon nga naay nay 16TB USB flash drive? SSD and USB drives are of similar technology, mas advanced lang ang SSD kay i emulate niya ang traditional HDD capabilities, USB drives are mostly for storage ra. I can't believe i'm 'educating' a 'gamer'.

@ghostie2472 I think you didn't get my point. I'm referring to "NOW". If you can get a higher capacity storage devices an external HDD compared to the highest capacity 1TB USB Flash Drive now as you said, so why not get an external HDD if you need more capacities.

So with regards to your question "relevant pa ba ang external HDD karon nga panahon?", IMHO, it is relevant if you need more storage spaces/capacities.

Actually ang concept sa usb flash drive similar kaayo sa SSD drive pero ang ang mga flashdrive ron di kaayo dagko ug storage capacity then it is very useful for bootable to replace the cd/dvd drive. Ang external hdd for me is good for storage purpose or backup files.

sa akoa lang.. basta flash drive pang quick transfer of files ra jud na siya..
but for backups.. ext hdd gihapon ko..
same raman gihapon sila via usb connection so if diretso ra sad ka ibot
naa sad chance ma likoy ang flash drive..
