Philippines has 7k+ islands and we are rich in marine life. Foreigners flock in and travel thousand miles away from home just to visit Philippines and go diving, but us, most Filipinos don't even know how to swim or haven't even seen what our ocean can offer to this foreign visitors.

Here are some of the commonly asked questions that might help you if you have Scuba Diving as one of your checklist on your bucket list.
1. How much will it cost me to dive?
If this will be your first time diving, you can take a PADI Discover Scuba Diving program. This is offered at
Neptune Diving Adventure at Php3,500.00. This includes gear and equipment rental, dive instructor, dive manual and marine fee.
2. Do I need to know how to swim for me to dive?
Knowing how to swim is an advantage as you are more likely to be comfortable with water. This program DO NOT require you to know how to swim as you will have a Bouyancy Control Device (BCD) to keep you afloat on the surface. Consider that you will have your own inflatable and deflatable life vest.
3. How deep do we go when diving
For the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program, here are the program standards:
- Confined Water - 6 meters / 20 feet
- Open Water - 12 meters / 40 feet
4. What are equipments needed for this program and do I need to have my own?
Mask, Fins, Scuba cylinder, buoyancy control device with low-pressure in inflator, regulator and submersible pressure gauge. It maybe still early to get your own gears, getting your own mask and snorkel will be ideal if you wanted snorkel around different islands in the Philippines. The rest of the equipments should be included on the PADI Discover Scuba Diving program rental.
5. Do I get a license for PADI Discover Scuba Diving program and can I dive anywhere in the world?
The PADI Discove Scuba Diving program is NOT a certification and licensing training but this a program design for people to test out whether SCUBA Diving is for them or not. This is an introduction to the world underwater and should you wanted to proceed to get your license, you can get a PADI Open Water license which will enable you to dive anywhere it the world and be a true blue certified diver.
For this program, you will get a Certificate of Completion.
6. How long will the training be?
The program is design for half a day activity, between 3-4 hours. The program is divided in 4 parts, 1st is the PADI Standards, 2nd is the Knowledge Check & Review, 3rd is the Confined Water Skills check and 4th is the actual open water dive. The program teaches you the basic of scuba diving, the science behind it and the techniques to add more excitement on your dive.
