Default Sun Cellular: The Bright and Dark Side

I guess they the first in the philippines to offer call and text unlimited.

Though when it comes to coverage, they still are keeping pace with the two mobile communication giants but its very apparent that they really are very aggressive when it comes to their marketing strategies. Some of these are

    24/7 call & text unlimited
    24/7 text unlimited

Those who have been using, have used or is still using the services of Sun Cellular network, do share your bright and dark experiences in terms of their services.

    Useless
In my house no signal (Globe full signal)
Almost impossible to do a call in the evening (just imagine, you need to do an emergency call...)

I noticed that majority of failed calls are due to poor or unstable signal. I have been discussing this with their customer service but sad to say that their's aint that good.

Customer service is just the "middle man" between the subscriber and the technical group. The former have no in depth knowledge of the ins and outs of the network. Sometimes I even get stupid answer to my complains. To be fair however, they now improve their support by providing complain tracking number. been useful to me.

Well, those are all based on my experiences.

    Amen to that darkdevil!

actually, I already got one good answer from the customer service about the call failures. They say that is caused by network congestion.

They still have hundreds of Cell Sites to put up in their plans ... so just give them enough time. Once these are all set, Ok na na sila. After all, globe and others also went through this scenario... bag-o lang ang Sun so mao ng medyo late sila kaysa uban. Di man sad na mahitabo nga tiwason sa nila tanan daan ilang cellsites before sila mag open to the public, patay sila sa investment ana

indeed they are investing. but coverage is different from the network capacity expansion. hopefully, as they expand coverage, they also would increase the capacity of their system to reduce dropped calls due to network congestion.
