just bought 3 box of hl2 from amdg and already installed the game but i dont know how to play the game. seem so different from counter strike. i was hoping it will be the same w/ new armor, items etc. how to play the game? will it work in LAN like counter strike before? thnx

What do you mean how to play the game? Its like any other FPS. Move, Target, and Fire. lol. Nwy, it can also play LAN like any other FPS. The Counter Strike Soure is just a port of the old one in the source engine. Some may argue that it plays different and other comments but basically it has the same principle as before. Terrorist vs Counter-Terrorist. Bomb-Defuse. Hostage-Rescue. And etc. ^_^ Have fun with it. I know I have. ^_^

Bro Half-Life 2 is more of a single player story based game. If you're used to playing team-based shooters like CounterStrike you may get confused since there will be no "buying" of weapons, instead you acquire weapons thru the course of the game. HL2 also offers multiplayer mode which you can play over the net or LAN, which includes Deathmatch, where every man is for himself and etc.

how to START in LAN game? that is team vs team. do i have to select maps like before? is their a server required for every game before it start?

Originally Counter Strike Source is the multiplayer part of HL2. So, you get that for free. You also have the HL2 Deathmatch which can offer you more of a arcade-spawning multiplayer action. But if you like to play team vs team, you may have to download a thirdparty mod such as HL2 CTF w/c offers HL2 Deathmatch style with team CTF flavor. ^_^

once you have the licensed box can play the whole hl2 game? playing a licensed hl2 in demo version should be something i confuse? why cant i play the full license game like other pc game?

^_^ confuse sad ako. any, to make it simple why cant i play hl2 full version considering that it is a licensed game.
