Lightbulb Republic Act No. 53, called the Shield Law

just wondering if okay ra ba, makamaayo, o na-abusuhan ang maong mga pulong o pasumbingay

" ... the official, who requested anonymity because of the possibility of reprisal ... ", " ... sources speaking under condition of anonymity ... ", " ... spoke on condition of anonymity ... "

Who wants to be a journalist? Or why the Sotto law isn't much of a shield

Journalists and any members of the media will always be protected by Shield Law and it is up to the lawmakers to enact it. But you know those lawmakers there, right? They have the audacity creating laws but don't want to enact it or respect existing laws while Filipinos don't care as long as there's money on their end by election time.

    e explain ug tarung TS...
kay hasta ako nag libug hehe

"As a lifeline, however, R.A. No. 53 is ineffectual. Invoking it may entitle the journalists the right to protect their sources, which is sacred in the profession -- to ensure the free flow of information which sometimes can only be achieved when the source’s anonymity is guaranteed, and more importantly, to protect the safety of the source against retaliation -- but simply insisting on one’s rights is, well, simplistic.

The Shield Law may justify reporters’ silence on the identity of their sources but it will not shield them from the repercussions of their silence."

In a pseudo democratic way of governance as it is actually what dominates the country right now, many government officials could exploit to serve their own ends. They could circumvent the laws or twist the facts to further their own agenda and criminality and the inefficient justice system would serve as a threat to those who would try to oppose and expose them.
The best tool is that let it be known all through out for protection and insurance I believe in the saying the enemy of your enemy is your friend and hyenas does not mingle with lions, let these bastards of the state fought each other for our gain.

Then vote wisely on this upcoming elections.
