Default BPO Newbie - Need advice

Hi guys and gals! Sama sa post sa ubos, bag.o ra pud ko dri sa forum. Na amazed ko ug basa sa mga experiences sa mga taga BPO industry. Mangayo lang unta ko ug advice/tips/tricks sa inyo.

I'm a Nursing graduate here in Mindanao and I'm planning to apply for work there in Cebu. I graduated last 2009 and the only work experience I had was doing volunteer work in a gov't. hospital. After that, I did further studies in healthcare/medical field. So basically, I don't have that much experience on applying for a job, much less the BPO industry. I really wanted to try out BPOs because it offers greater opportunities. I have a little knowledge on troubleshooting computers. If you would kindly enlighten me with the following questions, I would be very grateful =)))))

    1. What are some entry level positions I can apply based on my background?

    2. What company should I go for as a beginner? In terms of pay/work environment/stress level?

    3. Is there a relocation allowance?

    4. What salary range can I expect?

    5. What requirements will I bring once I apply there? I only have my TOR and 2 valid IDs. No sss nor TIN..

    Salamat gyud kaayo in advance!

    1. JP Morgan Chase & Co hires people with no work experience.

    2. See above.

    3. Yes.

    4. That is confidential but with BPOs/call centers expect 12-16k starting plus allowances. (From what I know JP Morgan gives the highest starting for beginners.)

    5. All that you mention plus get your SSS and TIN please.

I started with no background as well and I'm also an R.N. like you.

My advice is watch a lot of american movies or tv series. I can say you have a good grammar but most of the time the problem is pronunciation and american expressions.

my advice is make your resume and upload it to online job website and work on your skills that you probably will benefit when the time comes.

there is a lot of company that hires new graduates or no experience, they will train you for sure.
