Kung ikaw usa ka hiring manager or in-charge, importante ba ang School Graduated sa resume sa imong applicant? Why or why not?

if you are a fresh graduate, then a big yes. why? hiring managers will have no other basis for your credentials/capabilities except your schooling background. the better the school's reputation, the higher the chances that you can stand out among other applicants.

if you are an experienced hire with at least 2 to 3 years industry experience, then it may not matter to me...

I agree for fresh graduates with no job experience your school would matter. But there are those who came from lesser known schools but their scholastic records were nice and they were active while in college, they got the advantage. If you're looking for a job you better be ready for the exams and tough interview questions. Once you get the job build up your skills and experience. There are lots of jobs in the Phillippines.

i've been to one of the top 25 university in the world and some universities in pinas ug mka ingon jud ko nga dako kaau deperensya (labi na sa tuition) ang mga istudyante sa world class univ ug non world class univ in terms of school facilities, educational training, curriculum ug uban pa ...dli ni sa pag daot sa atong lokal schools pero just sharing my thoughts ug why mo matter ang school....

in my case, kung na aware nka unsa kalahi.an sa grads from top and non top univs nya mo hire nka, and you are in a "big profitable company" most of the time k taga.an jud high prio ang from top univs k sa ilang g.agi.an sa ilang educational training mao na nga most of the time mas dali ma hire ang from top univs in big companies nga taas ang salary cap

sa laing bahin......dli sad k abi ni grad ka sa dli top univ, dli naka ma hire...naay situation nga dli needed mo hire ang company from top schools, k naa sad dis-advantage coming from top univ, like taas pangayo ug starting sweldo (mahal kaau mo study sa top univ), so if ang company mejo limited ang budget mo look into jr. applicants nga barato pangayo which most likely from non top univ, sorry to say this but mejo barato jud from hiring perspective ang tan.aw sa gikan sa non top univ

previously mao ni ang basis labi na fresh grad, sakto sila. karon naa nay bag-o na gina considered nila. Aside sa school where you graduated from, ila gi take consideration karon ang OJT experience.. aside sa academic naa pod dakng impact if naa kay significant OJT exp. so Goodluck!

Depende sa company... Kay naa pod uban dili mo hire ug applicants from prestigious universities....

Hatag ko ug example... dili langko mo mention sa name pero company sa mepza (MW). Years ago ako nadunggan nga dili sila mo hire ug taga USC kay na badshot to one time. Dungan2x ang nag resign usually Carolinians kay nibalhin ug good companies like Lexmark, etc...

Then naa pod company dinha sa danao, Japanese company "M" gehapon ang name. Kay lage ang mga manager kay gikan ug Siliman ug Xavier University, ang ilang e hire kato rapod ana nga school. Sila pa ang moadto para mo conduct ug campus recruitment.

Basta, unfortunately mo matter jud ang school...

Pero like what they posted above, basta naa na gani kay experience more than 5 years unya related sa imong work experience ang ilang gepangita... ikaw na mismo ang mokulata ug tubag sa HR Manager interview. Usahay gani hasta ang general manager tagaan nimo ug tubag nga sila mismo wala pa nakasuway sa imong experience... Dinha na magdaug sa sweldo, or basin overqualified naka mao di naka dawaton.

then plus sa interview...the way motubag sa pangutana...
