I.T. branched out from Computer Science back in the 90's due to vastly growing technological development of computers. It was only CompEng and CompSci back then... CompEng creates the chips and boards ready for logical programming therefore 70% of their application is pure hardware development. CompSci integrates logic to the hardware to manipulate the vast 1-0 architecture made by Computer Engineers, therefore 70% of compsci is Logic. the 30% on both fields is focused on bridging between the two, may it be hardware or software. When DOS and Windows emerged, Vast developers were needed to create all the tools needed for computing. And because there are a lot of tools used or programs... There needed to be people to support these tools... which are now called the I.T. work loads. Now a days, Users have overwhelmed the computer industry, making I.T. the dominant field. Some schools took advantage of this and integrated both hardware and software in their curriculum. So do not be confused --- I.T. is only but the merging of both fields to make them flexible in everyday work. If you think you know how to lit a single pixel on the monitor with out any operating system consider yourself an engineer. and If you think you know how to build an operating system, consider yourself a computer science geek - the science of logical thinking.

Kinsa diay nah si Rowena? hehehehe
