Beginner here: Need some inputs about Lenses

Good day boss, pasyensya kaayu sa pag disturbo sa inyu. hehe I just want to ask you guys (Photography Enthusiasts and Professionals) about Lenses and which one to buy and use.

Since I am a fan of Landscape and I am aware na Wide angle lenses ang maayu for it, unsa may dapat nako e take note about? I mean how to know if which lens is better?


Guys, kani ganing Samyang 85mm f/1.4 Aspherical, asa ni siya maayu e gamit?

Understand the lens possible application, performance and refer to its MTF chart aron makapamili ka ug maayo for your application then ibagay pud sya sa imong budget. The end result is the best lens that you can buy. Read reviews and check out sample photos made with the lens. In the end, ikaw ra gihapon ang mohusga kung maayo ba gyud para nimo ang lens or not. The checking and reading part about the lens can only help you lessen the pagmahay portion if there is any inig naa na unya nimo ang lens. Just enjoy the lens with your camera by using it more while improving your technique.

sir brian... ng reply nako nmo 85mm is not recommended for landscape. get the widest nga ma afford nmo ug compatible sa imong body kung gnahan ka mg focus sa landscape/architectural.

i suggest para versatile mga ranges naa sa 10-24 para mgamit nmo sad @24mm less distortion. nindot sad ang 11-16. but again its up to you and sa imong budget

my advice: stick to your kit lens, invest on developing sa imong skills... if ma feel nah nimo ang kulang sa imu kit lens ma kahibaw ra ka what lens imu gusto..

the 85mm focal length is mostly used for portrait, since you already know that you need a wide angle look for lenses that has less chromatic aberrations, no or lesser distortion and start searching about polarizing filters and ND filters. To know about a lens performance , just google it and read the reviews or some data or benchmark graphs and figures. Though it doesn't represent a real world scenario but at least you will have an idea the cons and pros of the lens.
