Exclusive: DirectX 12 Will Allow Multi-GPU Between GeForce And Radeon
i remember a motherboard named MSI 870A Fuzion which you can combine 1 nvidia gpu and 1 ati gpu
it will be a dream...
hopefully not just a dream..that it will have backward compatability for DX 11 and lower cards...
kay ipares dayon
HD6950 < garbage ang display but fully working engine > and GTx970 on same board < DX12 ready board pud? >
not sure but based sa ako nabasahan intel haswell processor kay supported ang directx 12, maybe a bios update for the motherboard pra mosupport og dx12 or nkapackage na sya sa windows 10
Source: DirectX - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaDirectX 12 will be essentially supported on all Fermi and later Nvidia GPUs, on AMD's GCN-based chips and on Intel's Haswell and later processors' graphics units.
this will be a very exciting technology.
specially this statement:
DirectX 12 will remove the 4 + 4 = 4 idea and will work with a new frame rendering method called SFR, which stands for Split Frame Rendering.
Developers will be able to manually, or automatically, divide the texture and geometry data between the GPUs, and all of the GPUs can then work together to work on each frame.
Each GPU will then work on a specific portion of the screen, with the number of portions being equivalent to the number of GPUs installed.
simple math > lower cant go higher on performance but higher can always step down..
it would be really great to see my sampled VC HD6950 work on upper screen and GTx970 on lower screen at same time..at the same speed and timeframe.
question : where will i put my LED Monitor?
HD6950 < just imagine its not garbage display > or on the GTx970.
very excited to know and test this upcoming technology. : )
it be great to have an AMD HD6950 < which i bought for ,oh yeah PhP500 > for Adobe CS6 | CC and Nvidia GTx 9 for Gaming in one rig.
kaubo ang "Mantle" ani... kay mao napud ni supportahan sa mga game developers... pero, kun game developer's point of view, kun kinsa ang dako'g hatag nila, aw, kato ilahang supportahan pud on the API... hehehe...
bisan asa ana nila... go go go... we can't control technology and IP... igo ra ta comment... hehehe...
magdepende siguro kng unsa imong gusto gamiton as primary card then ang usa secondaryThis is especially interesting as it allows you to leverage the technology benefits of both of these hardware platforms if you wish to do so. If you like Nvidia's GeForce Experience software and 3D Vision, but you want to use AMD's TrueAudio and FreeSync, chances are you'll be able to do that when DirectX 12 comes around. What will likely happen is that one card will operate as the master card, while the other will be used for additional power.![]()
